Mercado del Lago - Floating Food Hub by the Lake

There is a new place in Taguig City that is a welcome relief for people and families who would like to take some relaxation by dining in elegant nipa huts while enjoying the inviting cool wind and taking some sight seeing and selfies in the nearby lake of Laguna.

This is the Mercado del Lago located in C6, Taguig City.

But what it makes it extra special is that people of all walks in life can visit the place.

Though the place looks so elegant and expensive, the City Government of Taguig which initiated the project makes sure that everyone has an access to the place.

The place is also accessible to nearby areas of Makati, Paranaque, Pasay, Pasig and Rizal areas with C6 and C5 as it's connecting highway leading to the Floating Fod Hub.

People travelling from the South can also take some stop-over to this place before proceeding to their Metro Manila destination as it is also near the South Luzon Express Way.

The place includes several Food Stall offering varieties of food from street foods to Japanese and Korean foods.

Customers had an option to choose where to dine-in.

There are tables and chairs near the food stall.  The grandeur big-sized chandelier is an added attraction that will definitely set your eyes still while waiting for your food to serve.

Second option, is the floating nipa huts by the lakes.  Surprisingly, accomodation for this venue is also free for diners.  Giving an atmosphere of an out-of-town food trip within the city.

However, a little setback is that I find the food a little pricey if the LGU of Taguig would like to market it as a "Pang Masa" food hub.

Nevertheless, to make your dining extra special there is a live band ready to entertain everyone.  And not just entertain.  Diners are also given the chance to sing along with the live band.

Another advantage of this food hub by the lake is that, it has a parking space with NO fees at all.  This is a welcome relief for those who comes in cars  knowing that most business establishment nowadays collected parking fees.

However for me, the most interesting attraction to the place and must be recommended for those who would like to visit the place is the sunset of Laguna Lake.  It is so breathtaking beautiful that you would not wanted to leave the place as it gives you the opportunity to interact with nature after a hard days work.   It gives you a good place to relax your mind amidst the stressful city life without really going out of the city.

You can just sit along the corridor and view the captivating sunset, the proud and historical mountains of Laguna and Rizal mountains, the peaceful waves of the lake and fishponds that reminds you that fishing along with farming is the number one livelihood of Taguig long before it becomes highly urbanized. This fisponds is also a reminder that Taguig despite being commercialized still remains "Probinsyudad".

Mercado del Lago - a floating food hub by the lake is definitely a nice and wonderful experience for someone who loves food and nature at the same time.

As of this writing, it is continuously improving and I am pretty excited to see what's next.
